Today is Juneteenth, the oldest nationally celebrated commemoration of the ending of slavery in the United States. I originally wanted to post a Juneteenth piece from a local black artist I am honored to know, but as I wrote the post I realized that this was an opportunity to showcase more of the incredible black artists we have here in Atlanta. So that is what I’m doing.

Below, you’ll find a small sampling of the extraordinary talent in this city, as well as links to their pages and accounts. Some of the artists I’m lucky enough to know personally, while others were recommended to me. Love what you see? Please share their work and buy their pieces!
